Caveat — cash, profitability and distress-risk diagnostics from one financial statement
Upload a balance sheet and income statement and Caveat calculates the cash conversion cycle, earnings quality and distress-risk signals with standard financial-analysis formulas, then explains the result in a readable report together with the figures behind it. Korean standard financial statement forms under the Corporate Tax Act and Income Tax Act are supported.
Reports
- Cash diagnostic — Cash tied up in receivables, inventory and payables, the cash conversion cycle and liquidity.
- Profitability diagnostic — Whether profit comes from operations or from leverage, using a DuPont breakdown.
- Distress-risk diagnostic — Statistical screening signals such as the Altman Z′-Score.
- Earnings-trust diagnostic — Signals of possible earnings manipulation such as the Dechow F-Score.
- Financial-health diagnostic — A financial strength check such as the Piotroski F-Score.
Guides
How it works
- Choose a report.
- Upload your financial statements (PDF, Excel or image).
- Review the extracted figures and get the diagnosis.
FAQ
- Are my uploaded statements stored?
- Caveat does not store them on its servers; they are discarded after the request is processed. Some content is sent to an AI service (Google Gemini) to extract figures and write the explanations.
- Is the result a definitive judgment?
- No. It is reference material built from standard financial ratios and statistical screening signals, and does not replace credit, investment or tax decisions.
- Which files can I upload?
- PDF, Excel and PNG, JPG or WebP images. Standard financial statement forms are read by form code first; other documents are read by AI.
